On the day everything almost fell apart, just like any other normal day I was travelling by kombi going about my usually errands when suddenly I was on the ground looking up to the heavens in agony. I had just been involved in an accident with the vehicle spinning 4 times. The rolling had caused me to land with same side 4 times which resulted in me suffering a compressional fracture and to this day, I have a broken hipbone and often suffer from back pains.
The incident also did cost me a successful career as I had to give up my formal job as despite trying to go back to work the condition and pain couldn’t let me. However, despite all the negatives, this incident gave me a voice and I have been on various platforms, sharing the story so as to motivate and inspire others. I have learnt that regardless of who you are or where you’ve been, you can be what you want to be. I learnt also that it’s better to live my best and act my best and think my best today; for today is the sure preparation for tomorrow and all the other tomorrows that follow. Now I am also a life coach and do digital marketing.
