The day everything almost fell apart:
Things haven’t always been rosy though as having lost my father while still in seventh grade, I passed through a lot of challenges that most of the people seldom overcome.
Life became so unbearable, that I not only once but twice attempted to take my own life. I was 17 years old with my mother having remarried, my step dad was against us going to school so he chased me out together with my sibling.
Out of sheer desperation and hopelessness, I grabbed and downed a packet of pills. However, I only passed out and only when I regained consciousness did I realize that the pills had expired.
Instead of being relieved to be alive, my desperation grew even more. I went out to buy a potent dose of the pills. By God’s grace, on my way I met a certain gentleman who stopped me and without invitation or hesitation started preaching and teaching me of Jesus Christ and His love for me.
Within minutes, my whole life became full of hope and possibilities again. Until this day I believe this was truly an encounter with Jesus Christ. From that moment, my life changed as I prayed for wisdom from above.
In time, I returned to school and graduated. Since then, I have had a number of honors like on the 4th of September, 2004 when I was awarded the title of Chief Ambassador of Abstinence & Virginity during the Africa Summit held at Taj Pamodzi Hotel by the Movement for Multiparty Democracy Government in conjunction with Peace Embassy. The event attracted African leaders from all walks of life including the late President of Zambia, Dr. Levy Patrick Mwanawasa, SC. MHSRIP.
Also, on the 12th of March 2018, I lead a team of students from the Copperbelt University [CBU] and the University of Zambia [UNZA] [who formed the Board of Directors for the first ever, Students and Schoolers Savings & Credit Cooperative Society which I founded], to the National Entrepreneur and Innovation Forum where my team came out first in e-learning immovation and second in innovation category.
On the 28th of February 2019, I was asked by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the National Youth Development Council to represent Zambia at the African Union Entrepreneur Innovation Forum in Aswan City, the Capital of African youth in Egypt.
I had this honor to represent my country alo with three other Zambian patriots who included Edward Mwaba Ndalama [Zambian Country Director for the Africa Youth Union Commission Zambia Chapter] among others.
