    Name: Abed Al Muhdi Ghareeb
    Organization: Palestinian Medical Relief Society
    Country: Palestine

Abed Al Muhdi Ghareeb, is a Palestinian youth activist from the City of Jerusalem, a refugee to the City of Bethlehem. He is 25 years old and holds a University degree in Hotel Management. Abed Al Muhdi is a volunteer in many institutions in Palestine and holds 39 training certificates in many fields. He works for the Palestinian Medical Relief Society in charge of ambulance teams and volunteers in the Bethlehem Governorate.

He started his volunteer work on Medical Relief when he was thirteen years old. He is passionate about participating in all humanitarian and community work which he considers one of his life priorities.

Abed Al Muhdi was injured 19 times while carrying out missions to save many lives, and he participated in more than 50 community initiatives during the past three years, the most important of which are; Mustashary ‘My Consultant’ app, which is the first Arabic application concerned with reproductive and sexual health.

He is also the leader of volunteer teams, one of the organizers of the Palestine International Marathon and the supervisor of the Student Empowerment Unit at Al-Quds University.

Among the most prominent institutions that he volunteers with are; The Peer Education Network of the United Nations Population Fund, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the People’s Committee for Refugee Services, Deheisheh camp, the Library of Research and Community Knowledge, among others.

Abed Al Muhdi’s main message in life is that we are the essence for change in the world and that only happens when we know our value, then we will know the value of the world and can change it for the better accordingly.

Moreover, we must continue to give in every work that serves the interest of the people, whatever the circumstances and whatever the risks. No one will be able to stop our work as long as we want and believe in what we do.

Abed Al Muhdi believes that life does not wait for anyone but it waits for what you will provide every day for it, so make your way and your dream with your own hands and do not wait for someone to make you.

You can accomplish in a few years of your life what people for many centuries have not been able to do. You are the key to this world; just be you, know your self-worth and the energy within you to let your work represent you and talk on your behalf.
